The points table is slowly shaping up but still a long way to go for all the twelve Pro Kabaddi 2019 clubs.

The Mumbai leg of Pro Kabaddi 2019 offered blistering action and mind-boggling drama that left the fans wanting more.

While the matches lived up to the hype, keeping the spectators at the edge of their seats, there were a few incidents that made news for all sorts of reasons.

Rahul Chaudhari the key for Tamil Thalaivas

The Tamil Thalaivas might have lost their game against Patna Pirates, but their star raider Rahul Chaudhari had enough reasons to cheer as he became the first player to join the 900-raid point club this week.

The 26-year-old switched to the Thalaivas this year from Telugu Titans after the team from Chennai splashed out a whopping INR 94 lakhs for his services. Given his performance in Mumbai, a lot will rest on his shoulders given the effort the Thalaivas have invested in procuring his services.

Umpiring conundrum against Telugu Titans

The Titans were victims of poor umpiring decisions against UP Yoddhas. They were almost on the verge of beating UP Yoddha after a Siddharth Desai raid resulted in Yoddha’s Sumit going out of bounds.

As the Titans erupted in joy claiming their victory, the referees spoiled their party by giving a decision against them. They ruled that Titans captain Abozar Mighani had entered the mat before the final whistle had been blown. Hence, a technical point to Yoddhas was handed which eventually ended the game in a tie.

U Mumba loses twice at home

U Mumba ended their home leg with two wins and two losses. While they did manage to win against Puneri Paltan, inflicting a 33-23 loss on them, they incurred defeats at the hands of defending champions, Bengaluru Bulls and UP Yoddha, which saw they slip down the points table.

However, a win over Gujarat Fortune Giants, meant that U Mumba go into the Patna leg on top of the points table with 17 points from their six games. Quite a long way to go, but the Mumbai-based club would be looking ahead to seal a Playoff spot.
