After a span of 12 weeks, we finally have our four semi-finalists. Pro Kabaddi Season 7 has been an exhilarating ride and its culmination seems to be better than the journey itself. Bengaluru Bulls edged past UP Yoddha in the first eliminator courtesy of Pawan Sehrawat’s 20-point magnificent performance. It will be a true clash of the titans in the first semi-final when Bengaluru meet Delhi at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad.

Dabang Delhi’s star raider Naveen Kumar has been in sublime form this season, and given the weak state of Bengaluru’s defence, it might just become a one-sided affair for the team from the capital. During the league stage, Delhi emerged victorious on one occasion while in the next encounter between the two sides, it was a draw. Sehrawat and Kumar’s fight to garner maximum points for their respective teams will be a sight to behold.

WATCH OUT FOR: Naveen Kumar

The 19-year-old’s robust performances this season have been the guiding light for Delhi at their time of need. The team has been raining fire on their opponents, with Naveen Kumar leaving the defences in complete shambles. In the last three outings of the group stages, Naveen has averaged over 15 raid points, which is way higher than his season average of 12.76 so far.

His record this season is only succeeded by his semi-final rival Sehrawat and Patna Pirates’ veteran raider Pardeep Narwal. Given the stage and the opportunity that Delhi have built for themselves, they will rely heavily on Kumar’s form and his ability to see them through once again. The team has endured a tough road till the sixth season and have found a reliable solution in Kumar’s consistency. Delhi are favourites for the first semi-final, but Naveen will have to ensure and prove his worth once again.

Bengal Warriors won’t have it easy

Bengal Warriors’ record in the past four matches is definitely not a testament to their season. The team lost two of their last four encounters, displaying glimpses of a chink in their armour. They have booked a spot against U Mumba, who boost a strong defence comprising of the most successful defender in the league – Fazel Atrachali.

Bengal cannot afford even the slightest of mistakes and will look up to Maninder Singh.

WATCH OUT FOR: Maninder Singh

After sitting out in the last two league games for Bengal Warriors, Maninder Singh is available and will start in the semi-final against U Mumba. Singh has scored 13 points or more in his last four outings and is the most valuable player for Bengal. This season, he has posted the best average of his Pro Kabaddi career, scoring almost 10 raid points per match.

He will be looking to take Bengal to the final for the first time in their history.
